    CCPC:

Let me know what I can do to help to prevent the Q arena upgrades. Heres the letter i wrote to Councilman Kelley:

    The Honorable Kevin Kelley

I never supported the usage of public funds for the Q Loans upgrades. I am disappointed by the end result but not surprised.

Even someone who has used the Q Loans I don’t see an added benefit in the renovations. I also anticipate ticket prices will rise astronomically just as the team will have peaked. I will not pay these prices. In fact, I have stopped going to the Q Arena because prices have already gotten too expensive.

Unfortunately, I am not optimistic that leaders can learn from their mistakes of continued borrowing for financing stadiums and other corporate interests. I fear that many leaders will experience individual benefits of supporting corporate interests that outweighs their individual morality.

Ultimately, it is my generation that will pay for the deficit run up and borrowed Chinese money to pay for such false investments such as these. A sports team is and will always be a psych asset to a city and never anything more.

I fear it will take a very bad depression or recession that affects Cleveland very severely before people understand how badly politics have failed them.

I understand the challenge of meeting city interests in the middle for the fear of losing the team but city leaders need to understand the extreme bubble our economy is in. Every single dollar used for corporate interests will weigh heavily on the future of our city. When policies are driven by ideology and corporate interests we all lose.

The Browns will be asking for money next if they ever turn that excuse of a team around. What say you then, if you happen to be still in office?

I guess I’ll take my large salary and move out of cuyahoga county.

    -Scott

Join the Cleveland American Indian Movement –American Indian Education Center- “People not Mascots” and American Indian Movement of Ohio Against Racism

We are issuing an Open Initiation to join us in our fight against racism. Another season of baseball in Cleveland means another year of degradation to Native Americans everywhere. An insult to any group of people based on their identity in that group fosters the growth of racial prejudice against all peoples. The naming of a sports team as a race of people and the flamboyant marketing of a racial stereotype as a team mascot is a moral wrong which must be righted. The red feather worn by Chief Wahoo is a sacred symbol to Native Americans equal to the Cross for Christians, the Star of David for Jewish people, and the statue of Buddah for Buddists.

Profit, for the team owners and merchandise marketers is the only driving force. Cleveland civic pride cannot rest on racial humiliation. The entire population of Greater Cleveland is degraded and insulted. One Hundred And Two years of Racism.

To all people of Cleveland: Join the American Indian Community, against RACISM & Wahoo…The fight to claim American Indian Dignity continues. We support Cleveland Baseball BUT CHANGE THE NAME AND LOGO. Racism has no place in our city. We will demonstrate on Opening Day, Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Progressive Field along E. 9th Street, Gate C, 100ft. North of the Bob Feller Statue on the Grass Area.Make your own sign with our supply’s or bring your own.

We‘ve been demonstrating and filing lawsuits since the original in 1973, 1995, 1998, as well as a recent case in May 2016.

    To Everyone,

I attended the Cuyahoga County Council meeting on February 21, 2017 regarding the Renovations of Quicken Loans Arena and these are some of my personal opinions. 1st point is Cuyahoga County should put this issue to a vote in Cuyahoga County. However, we should just pass on the 2019 NBA All-star Game. Have another NBA city in a warm climate location host the 2019 NBA All-star Game which takes place every February. The game has become a “Freak Show” anyways with no defense. We are really going to miss not having a circus. Because Cuyahoga County accounts for a very large percentage of the Ohio State Liquor tax revenue we should have access to this money to renovate and fix the many problems that exist in Cuyahoga County. However, corrupt Ohio Governor John Kasich stole this money for Jobs Ohio: http://plunderbund.com/2013/03/14/jobsohio-stands-to-receive-over-6-billion-in-state-liquor-money/ The Justice Department put Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora in Federal Prison for 28 years for building a Tiki bar at his home, giving contracts to his friends and taking several trips to Las Vegas. Kasich lost $500 million in State of Ohio Pension money when he worked at Lehman Brothers then he became Governor of Ohio. Our local Democrats stole over 5 million dollars from the Veterans Administration that was to go to assist homeless veterans in Northeast Ohio. Cuyahoga County should get back the millions of dollars that employees and ex-employees stole from us over the past many years and they must go to Kasich and get our liquor tax revenue.

The Q does need to be maintained and necessary renovations. It doesn’t need all of the elaborate outside renovations that they want. The fact that the Q didn’t have a glass atrium wasn’t a deal breaker for the RNC. Cuyahoga County must stop wasting taxpayer’s money. They are 1 billion dollar in dept. The County just wasted millions of dollars for hosting last year’s 3 day RNC convention and spending on the Medical Mart that never happened. The local trade unions can make money rebuilding, remolding our neighborhoods and tearing down all the vacant homes and factories in Cuyahoga County. WTAM’s Will Burge made an excellent presentation on why we don’t need to renovate the Q and must fix our social problems that go un addressed. Cavaliers’ CEO Len Komoroski made a very good long presentation that showed the Nationwide Arena in Columbus and their 70 foot impressive glass enclosed atrium. This is why the NBA should have their All-star game in 2019 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus. At the same time we can all waive “Goodbye” to John Kasich.

The Q should make an effort to have a National Hockey League team in Cleveland. The great rivalries already exist between many of the current NHL cities. Also have the NFL have their ProBowl game ever year in Canton, Ohio in conjunction to the Hall of Fame festivities held there during the 1st week in August. Between 1970 and 2009, this game was usually held the weekend after the Super Bowl. Since 2010, the Pro Bowl has been played the weekend before the Super Bowl. Players from the two teams competing in the Super Bowl do not participate in the ProBowl. By doing this all ProBowl players from all the NFL teams can all participate in this game and full week event. Cleveland can partner with Canton to get involved with this great event that would benefit all of Northeast Ohio.

    Sincerely,

    James M. Catalano

Instead of using tax dollars on the arena take the peoples funds and donate to the Cleveland Free Clinic. The tax funds should be spent on the citizens, not spent on wealthfare. If the citizens are to be self reliant why are businessmen allowed to live off the tax payer? If the workers in the building trades want the sports buildings re built every five years make the businessmen pay out of their pockets. How does the tax payer benefit? Jobs pushing tube steak and popcorn for minimum wage! Vote the Businesscrats out of office! The Businesscrats just think of us as nothing more than sources of revenue, and cheap labor!

Today across America, thousands are protesting President Trump’s recent ban on illegals. My ancestors discovered America. My Grandparents were one of the very first legal immigrates that settled in Cuyahoga County from Sicily over 100 years ago. My parents, I and hundreds of relatives were all legally born in Cuyahoga County. My Uncle Anthony and Father Michael Catalano were World War 2 veterans. Corrupt Cuyahoga County employees have shown our family no respect. Our family members have paid a lot of taxes to Cuyahoga County for over 100 years and I personally have saved Cuyahoga County over 50 millions dollar. Since Dan Gilbert and LeBron James were not born in Cuyahoga County, they don’t live here and have never saved the county one cent, Cuyahoga County should start showing them the same disrespect that they have shown me and my good family over the years. Cuyahoga County must fix the major major problems that still exist in the county before fixing the Q. Stop wasting Taxpayers money!!!!!!!!!
  • commented 2017-02-15 12:40:59 -0500
I find that this is ludicrous! How can the elected officials think that the tax payers should pay for this wealthfair. It is time the business bastards become self reliant. I encourage you to read the book " Field of Schemes" What does one expect from our Businesscrats. The citizens are thought of nothing but sources of revenue! Time to vote the sellouts out of office. I know of a women who’s house was broken into. Took the Cleveland police 7 days to investigate, while they can’t move fast enough for a sports building. The Bbusinesscrats only get away with what they do because of the voters!

Both Quicken Loans and the Howard Hanna made over a Billion dollars making bad loans and over charging customers for the past 10 years. Let them pay for any and all improvements of the Q since they didn’t have to serve any prison time and the government bailed them out.

Dear Armand Baddish and Cuyahoga County Council Members,

Happy St. Valentine’s Day! Over the past 2 years, I have called your office many times requesting a professional meeting with you and your staff. Since you refused to meet with me to fix the problems that your county departments have caused me and my family over the years, I am requesting that you resign as Cuyahoga County Executive. Jimmy Dimora was a much better County Commissioner. This is not a 3 minute fix. Cuyahoga County is still the most corrupt counties in the State of Ohio. The Cuyahoga County is over 1 billion dollars in debt. Cuyahoga County ranks 64th to all counties in Ohio in Health related issues. My November 2014 to you and my July 2015 letter to President Obama explains what happened. In October 2015 I made my in person appearance in front of you and council members and I never heard back from you. My December 2015 letter to you explains why White Raciest Communist Nazi Irish Cuyahoga County Probate Judge Laura Gallagher must be fired along with many other county employees who have violated all of our American civil, amendment and constitutional rights. Why don’t you have your Ms. Urban from Senior Services call Lebron James and falsely accuse him of kidnapping his own Mother and see how that works out for you? Today across America, thousands are protesting President Trump’s recent ban on illegals. My ancestors discovered America. My Grandparents were one of the very first legal immigrates that settled in Cuyahoga County from Sicily over 100 years ago. Both my parents and I and hundreds of relatives were all legally born in Cuyahoga County. My Uncle Anthony and Father Michael Catalano were World War 2 veterans. Both these 2 very tough World War 2 veterans are the reason that Hitler didn’t eliminate the Jews and your family from the face of the earth. You and your corrupt Cuyahoga County employees have shown our family no respect. Since our family members have paid a lot of taxes to Cuyahoga County for over 100 years and I personally have saved Cuyahoga County over 50 millions of dollars I want to be compensated for all the damages that you have caused me and my family. My April 2016 letter to you breaks down the financial damages that Cuyahoga County owes me which is over $3,000,000. Fix my home and family that you destroyed before you spend a penny fixing Quicken Loan Arena for the billionaires who steal and bribe corrupt politicians like you. Stop stealing and wasting taxpayer’s money!!!!

In addition to these damages, I am requesting that you and Cuyahoga County pays for a full page apology letter that will be published in the Sunday Cleveland Plain Dealer that will explain why the Cuyahoga County is paying me for all these damages.

    Sincerely,

    James M. Catalano

Dan Gilbert is a Billionaire because he made a lot of bad mortgage loans. Let this out of town thief get together with Pittsburgh based Howard Hanna who also illegally made over $200 million when they charged customers an extra Administration fee in addition to their high commission rates. Both Gilbert and Hanna pay off politicians so that they can continue to make their millions. Michael Hudson’s book The Monster: How a Gang of Predatory Lenders and Wall Street Bankers Fleeced America — and Spawned a Global Crisis will help you better understand what Gilbert did. Let them pay to fix up the Q with the billions that they stole and made off the public.

When a good Italian Nick Mileti owned the Cavs the politicians told him to go F himself. That is why the Coliseum was built in Richfield in 1074. When a good Jew Art Modell wanted to have a new stadium built for the Cleveland Browns the politicians told him to go F himself. That is why he moved the Browns to Baltimore. Tell the bad Jews, Budish and Gilbert to go F themselves. Richfield is real close to Lebron James home in Bath and hometown Akron. Use thier Jew money to build a new coliseum in Richfield and name it after Lebron James. Cleveland Ohio is the poorest city in America and Cuyahoga County is a Billion dollars in debt. The county should go after the millions of dollars that their past employees stole from them so they can pay me the damages that they owe me.

I was able to get into Portmans’ office here in dwtn Clvd, but not until after 1: 45. Karen was the woman who was at the front desk, behind a glass barrier, taking brief messages to give to Portman. I politely gave her my summary of disapproval. I also posted a video to my facebook page of the rally reaching the federal bldg, which was pretty impressive. I again give my thanks to the men in uniform who were present and respectful. And a big thank you to the HUGE crowd who braved the weather and came out. Also those on the street who paused to hear what we were all about. Great JOB!!!!
