Art & The March for Science CLE: Melding Science, Art and Activism
Marty Krebs, artist, director of the fab lab at Tri-C, and Co-Chair of the Cleveland March for Science will discuss the March in its cultural context.
Within hours of announcing the March for Science in Washington D.C., folks in Cleveland, as in other places, began organizing Marches for Science in their own cities. With marches scheduled in more than 150 cities around the world, the D.C. march is only a small part of a much larger whole. As always, Cleveland brings its own flavor. Here, the march will also be a celebration of Cleveland and NE Ohio, with a particular emphasis on Art. What do science and art have to offer each other? What can art express in the march that might be lost without it? How is advocating for science different from doing science?
