Stop the Bans Phone Bank
Last week, conservatives in the Ohio Senate passed Senate Bill 28, an abortion ban that requires the burial of fetal tissue, imposing a medically unnecessary funeral ritual on patients choosing abortion. There is clearly no purpose of Senate Bill 28 other than to stigmatize and shame women who have already made the personal decision to have an abortion.
Even as the Ohio Senate passes Senate Bill 28, two more abortion bans are currently being considered in the Ohio General Assembly, including Senate Bill 145, a ban on the most common form of second-trimester abortion, and House Bill 258, a ban on abortions after six weeks of gestation, long before most women even know that they are pregnant.
These unlawful bills are nothing more than tactics used by politicians to further their own ideological agendas – they do nothing to protect reproductive health care for Ohioans or improve the lives of families.
Help us stop these bills in their tracks and prevent another abortion ban and/or restriction in Ohio by helping us reach out to voters to urge them to call their legislators.
