What to expect in this session:

Session #2 is an opportunity to identify how racially motivated housing policy and practices have created the disparity in land and home ownership we have today. You will also be able to connect with local resources to determine how owning land would affect your personal wealth.

About the Series-------------------------------------
Disinvestment, job loss, rugged individualism, and racist policies have led to the incredible wealth gap, locally and nationally. Through this five-session series, we will look at strategies for wealth building through an equity lens, and draw from community wisdom on how we can create an economically interdependent and vibrant city. Each session will provide a combination of historical context, interactive discussion, and tools to support your personal or community wealth building journey. Sessions will include topics such as:

Ownership, Property and Land: Past & Present
Banking, Savings & Credit
Education & Investing
Entrepreneurship &Social Capital
